This policy explains how RecAlliance Pty Ltd ("RecAlliance", "we", "us") collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information. We are committed to handling personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This policy covers recalliance.com.au and our corporate dealings. Our brands, Elevator Pitch (myelevatorpitch.com.au) and Need Cover Now (needcovernow.com.au), have their own privacy policies and terms on their websites, which apply when you use those services.

2. The personal information we collect

The kinds of personal information we collect and hold depend on how you deal with us, and may include:

• contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name and job title;
• the content of enquiries, messages and other correspondence you send us;
• information about business dealings with us, such as partnership, supplier or investor discussions;
• technical and usage information when you visit our website, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site and the date and time of your visit.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information) through this website. Please do not send it to us unless we ask for it.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it to:

• our related brands (Elevator Pitch and Need Cover Now) where your enquiry concerns them;
• service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting and customer relationship management (HubSpot), website analytics (Google Analytics), and email and file storage (Microsoft 365);
• our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers;
• government bodies or others where required or authorised by law.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia. The countries where this is likely to happen include the United States, and may include other countries where those providers operate data centres. We take reasonable steps to make sure overseas recipients handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. How we hold and protect personal information

We hold personal information electronically in secure, access-controlled systems. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls and multi-factor authentication. When we no longer need personal information, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and HubSpot, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting our Privacy Officer. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing and how to complain.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer first. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
